Opening Character Studio…

A few useful details before you begin

What do I receive?

This is a digital design service: editable character and plate projects, a printer-specific PDF guide and a colour preview. Physical printing is quoted separately. Paid orders remain closed during pilot qualification.

How are print colours prepared?

Your selected colours guide the concept. We prepare up to four print-colour regions from your saved character. Colour refinement cleans small speckles and colour boundaries while checking the original surface and small details. Final shades can differ and can be reassigned to your filaments in the slicer; the plate is a separate black project.

What plate is included?

Measured round black plate with a 4 mm base and 2 mm raised rim. Diameter is set during geometry preparation to suit the palm contacts (100–155 mm pilot range). It rests directly on the palms, with short alignment joints. Fit, strength and heat suitability still require physical testing; the pilot is not qualified for a burning candle.

Which printer should I choose?

For efficient multicolour printing, we recommend compatible multihead or tool-changing hardware, such as a Flashforge Creator 5 Pro or Snapmaker U1. Compatible single-nozzle multicolour printers also work, but filament swaps and purging generally take longer and use more material. Automatic colour printing requires suitable hardware; an ordinary single-colour printer needs a single-colour version or a separately supported method. Printer profiles must be qualified individually; these examples do not mean every profile is available in this pilot.

How are my reference and idea used?

Use one clear JPG, PNG or WebP under 5 MB. Your description supplies identity and anatomy. We adapt the support pose for a stable base, raised palms and plate clearance; the example artwork is not a character template.

Can I sell my custom design?

Your custom design and delivered files are yours to use, print and sell. There is no personal-use-only restriction or separate commercial-use upgrade. You must have permission to use any supplied reference material.
