How to order your personalized photo cube
Follow the four-photo design process, check your crops and understand what is included before placing your order.
By Jeff & Christine ·Ordering a personalized photo cube starts with the memories you want to display. Our Memories in a New Light box uses four separate white lithophane panels in a black frame, with an installed LED light. You create the arrangement online and receive an assembled plug-in product.
Choose your four photographs
You need one photo for the front, one for the left side, one for the right side and one for the top. Decide which photograph should be the main view when the box is displayed, then choose three images that complement it.
Use clear original photographs where possible. Check faces and important details before uploading. A heavily blurred photo or a screenshot with small subjects gives you less detail to work with.
Open the Lithophane Maker
Go to our Lithophane Maker and upload the images for their selected positions. The box is offered in one standard size, so you can concentrate on the photographs and their composition rather than choosing dimensions.
Adjust each crop
Move and zoom the photograph until the important details fit inside its square panel. Pay particular attention to faces near the edge of a group portrait. Check all four positions individually instead of assuming that a crop that works on one image will work on the others.
If a photograph does not fit comfortably, try a different image. Leaving enough room around the subject can make the arrangement easier to read.
Rotate the preview
Turn the cube in the preview to inspect the front, sides and top. Make sure each position has the intended photograph and that important details stay inside the frame.
The preview is a composition guide. The printed appearance also depends on the original photograph, the panel and the surrounding light; it will not look exactly like a colour image on a screen.
