Buying 3D prints in Canada: what to check before ordering
Understand finished prints versus digital files, printed texture, dimensions, personalization and collection details before ordering a 3D-printed item.
By Jeff & Christine ·If you are searching for 3D prints in Canada, first decide what you want to receive: a finished object or a digital file to print yourself. Those purchases have different requirements, even when the photographs show a similar design.
3DProducts.ca is operated by Jeff and Christine. Our collection focuses on made-to-order gifts and décor, including photo lights, character holders, ornaments and personalized displays. This guide explains the details to compare before ordering from our shop.
A finished print or a file for your own printer?
A physical product listing describes the finished item you receive. For example, the Memories in a New Light photo cube includes its frame, four personalized photo panels and installed LED light, supplied assembled.
A digital download supplies files rather than a physical object. You need a suitable printer, filament and slicing software to turn those files into a print. Check the individual file listing for formats, printer requirements and licence terms before buying.
Choose the physical product if you want a gift ready to display. Explore digital files if you own a printer and want to prepare and print the design yourself. A photograph of a finished model does not, by itself, tell you which purchase you are making.
Check the dimensions where the item will sit
Measure your shelf, desk or countertop before choosing a design. Look for width, depth and height, and check whether the measurements include separate parts.
Our photo cube measures 120 × 120 × 120 mm, approximately 4.72 inches each way. Dream Box — Classic Cloud is approximately 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall including its base, with a listed base depth of about 2.36 inches. Those shapes fit different spaces even though both display photographs.
For a holder, fit matters as much as overall size. Compare the bottle or candle jar you own with the fit described on the product page. Do not assume every bottle or jar has the same shape.
Understand the printed finish
Our physical products are built through 3D printing. Fine layer lines and small finish variations are part of the printed character; they are described on the relevant listings.
Read image captions as well as descriptions. Some product photographs are styled renders or illustrative previews. Colours on a screen, printed filament and the glow of a photo panel can look different. Use the listing to confirm included parts rather than assuming every pedestal, bottle or background decoration comes with the order.
For a personalized photo light, the source photograph also affects the result. Review its crop and follow our lithophane photo guide before submitting it.
Review exactly what you can personalize
Customization depends on the design. A name display may offer lettering and background colours, while a photo light asks for photographs and may include a separate nameplate.
Check spelling, capitalization, colour placement and photograph positions before ordering. If a name contains unusual characters or an option is unclear, ask us first. Do not assume that selecting a colour changes every part of a model: the listing explains which parts use each choice.

Check pickup, delivery and timing
Read the current product and checkout information for the options available to that order. If local pickup is offered, it is in Cornwall, Ontario. If you need delivery elsewhere, confirm that shipping is available for your item and destination before purchasing.
Made-to-order does not mean ready to leave immediately. For a birthday, holiday or other deadline, contact us before ordering rather than assuming a production or delivery date. See our shipping and returns information for the current policy.
Use the care instructions for that product
A printed decoration, photo light and holder serve different purposes. Follow the product's care and intended-use notes. For example, the Highland Attitude candle holder is intended to display an unlit jar candle or LED candle and should be kept away from open flames and high heat.
Check whether a bottle, candle, hanging cord or gift contents are supplied. Choosing a finished print should leave you clear about what arrives and what you provide yourself.
Your ordering checklist
Before completing your order, confirm the product type, dimensions, included parts, personalization and collection or delivery options. Review the current price and policy on the product page.
