Four ways to tell a story with a personalized photo cube

Turn four favourite photographs into a connected story for a family, pet lover, couple or memorable trip.

By Jeff & Christine ·

A personalized photo cube gives you four spaces to tell a story. Rather than choosing unrelated pictures at the last minute, start with the person receiving the gift and the memories you want them to see.

A family through the years

Choose four moments that feel connected: a favourite family portrait, a celebration, a holiday and an everyday moment. The images do not have to come from the same year. What matters is that each photograph adds something to the story.

Check that group portraits still work in a square crop. If people stand close to the edge of a wide photo, try another image before ordering.

A favourite pet

A pet photo cube could include a clear portrait, a playful moment, a favourite outdoor spot and a picture together. Use images where the face and expression are easy to see. Very dark fur against a dark background can make detail harder to distinguish, so compare your options.

A shared celebration

For a couple, consider a wedding, anniversary or another meaningful day. You might choose one portrait and three smaller moments that capture the occasion. Ask yourself which image belongs on the front, then arrange the remaining photographs around it.

A trip worth remembering

Combine a recognizable scene with photographs of the people who were there. Four nearly identical landscape pictures can feel repetitive; a mix of scenery and personal moments gives the cube more variety.

From idea to order

Our photo cube uses four white lithophane panels in a black frame, with an included LED light. The front, left side, right side and top each hold a photograph. One standard size keeps the design process focused on your images.

Upload each photograph in the Lithophane Maker, adjust its crop and rotate the preview. Check that important faces and details stay inside the frame. The finished box is supplied assembled as a plug-in product, and its illuminated appearance depends on the original images and viewing conditions.

The best combination is personal rather than complicated. Choose four photos that mean something to the recipient, take care with their crops and let those memories become the centre of the gift.
